COVID-19 RESPONSE COALITION

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.

PAI and our Partners are offering mobile meals dispatch and drop off services for Jackson families. As our senior centers, schools, business, and organizations close for safety and precautionary reasons, we continue to learn how to combat the COVID-19 virus effectively, and protect ourselves and loved ones against it, the UMMC Surgery Department, Association of Women Surgeons, UMMC Medical Students, the Boys & Girls Club of Central Mississippi, the People’s Advocacy Institute, Strong Arms of JXN, Jackson Meals Matter Task Force, and the City of Jackson are providing mobile meal dispatch and drop off services for Jackson families in need. Meals will cover breakfast and dinner for families throughout the extended break.

To ensure the greater public and our volunteers are adhering to the safest measures, meal drop off operations will be guided by healthcare professionals. In addition, we are setting up systems to minimize one on one contact and people congregating in groups.

For those who are in need, call or text (601) 376-9746 or (615) 946-4197 to set up a meal drop off location and times. The phones will be monitored from 7am till 7pm daily. We encourage the public to start calling.

We are also in desperate need of volunteers. Folks can volunteer in person or from home. If you would like to volunteer, please email:  Jxnfoodfund@gmail.com.
