COVID-19 RESPONSE COALITION
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.
PAI and partner organizations are coordinating mobile meal distribution and drop-off services in Jackson, Mississippi during temporary service disruptions.
As senior centers, schools, businesses, and organizations adjust operations for safety and precautionary reasons, the UMMC Surgery Department, Association of Women Surgeons, UMMC Medical Students, Boys & Girls Club of Central Mississippi, The People’s Advocacy Institute, Strong Arms of JXN, the Jackson Meals Matter Task Force, and the City of Jackson are working together to provide mobile meal dispatch and delivery.

Meal distributions are intended to support access to breakfast and dinner during the extended service interruption period.

To support safe operations, meal dispatch and delivery procedures are guided by healthcare professionals. Systems are in place to minimize direct contact and prevent group congregation during drop-off.

Individuals seeking meal delivery information may call or text (601) 376-9746 or (615) 946-4197 to arrange locations and delivery times. Phone lines are monitored daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
